SOLUTION - Set-MsolUserLicense, Unable to assign this license.

I was trying to disable the EXCHANGE_S_STANDARD for the account sku STANDARDWOFFPACK_IW_FACULTY and STANDARDWOFFPACK_IW_STUDENT.

O365Powershell

In the previous blog, HOW TO: Provision O365 licenses with granulated services to MSOL (o365) users, disabling the service plans with the STANDARDWOFFPACK_FACULTY and STANDARDWOFFPACK_STUDENT worked like a charm.

Now when I tried to disable the EXCHANGE_S_STANDARD service plan STANDARDWOFFPACK_IW_FACULTY, I would receive the following error

Firstly, check available SKU name

Obviously check that the SKUs are available. The following command, 'Get-MsolAccountSku | Format-Table AccountSkuId, ActiveUnits' will give you the list of all the avilable SKUs and how many active units are available.

Disable the Service plans within the parameter

The easiest way (in my opinion) is to setup a variable within your powershell session to then be used for disabling the service plans when you eventually provision a person a license.

To accomplish this, I used the following command to highlight all the disabled plans against the STANDARDWOFFPACK_IW_FACULTY SKU (notice that the EXCHANGE_S_STANDARD is not within the script, so it should disable all the service plans apart from this one)
$newLicenseAssignmentOption = New-MsolLicenseOptions -AccountSkuId technicalconfessionsdev:STANDARDWOFFPACK_IW_FACULTY -DisabledPlans OFFICESUBSCRIPTION, YAMMER_EDU, SHAREPOINTWAC_EDU, MCOSTANDARD, SHAREPOINTSTANDARD_EDU

SOLUTION

https://technicalconfessions.com/images/postimages/postimages/_408_6_Set MsolUserLicense for SKU O365 resolved.png

Once you've set that variable is set, you can run the following command. The important parameter that was not originally used within the other successul blog was the -AddLicenses parameter - This as to be included for the STANDARDWOFFPACK_IW_STUDENT and STANDARDWOFFPACK_IW_FACULTY SKU.

Set-MsolUserLicense -UserPrincipalName TESTUSER20@technicalconfessionsdev.onmicrosoft.com -AddLicenses -LicenseOptions $newLicenseAssignmentOption technicalconfessionsdev:STANDARDWOFFPACK_IW_FACULTY

The WeMos D1 is a ESP8266 WiFi based board is an extension to the current out-of-the-box library that comes with the Arduino installation. Because of this, you need to import in the libraries as well as acknowledging the specific board. This process is highly confusion with a number of different individuals talking about a number of different ways to integrate.

HOW TO provision AD group membership from OpenIDM

OpenIDMICFAD-connector

For what I see, there's not too many supportive documentations out there that will demonstrate how provision AD group membership with the ICF connector using OpenIDM. The use of the special ldapGroups attribute is not explained anywhere in the Integrators guides to to the date of this blog. This quick blog identifies the tasks required to provision AD group membership from OpenIDM to AD using the LDAP ICF connector. However this doesn't really explain what ldapGroups actually does and there's no real worked example of how to go from an Assignment to ldapGroups to an assigned group in AD. I wrote up a wiki article for my own reference: AD group memberships automatically to users This is just my view, others may disagree, but I think the implementation experience could be improved with some more documentation and a more detailed example here.
