Searching for files matching a string value - php

I used a bit of php code in the background to search for any images that belong to a specific post and then determine where that image should be positioned, automatically.

PHP

These images within this blog have been assigned a specific unique ID (UID). This UID is a prefix of the file extension though other information can be included. This UID comprises of 2 components, the post_id (from the URL) and the position number on where the image should reside within the blog (variable $x).

-- Example
Right click on the image above and click 'save image as...'. Within the name is the string '32_2', 32 is the post_id, 2 is the position within this blog.

Old Code

$getImage = "images/postimages/postimages/".$post_id. "_" .$x.".png";

In the past, I simply used a for loop ,which cycled 20 time incrementing the variable $x to locate an image. The issue was that the images could only be called a specific name based on the structured naming convention only (26_2.png, 32_4.png etc.). This required altering if I were to increase traffic flow to this website and enhance the SEO potentials through Google images. Of course, if I were to dominate the world, I must first flood Google images with my ugly face like some symbolism of power!

I am now using aglob() method to accomplish this, which will look at all the files in the within the images directory. I then use a strpos() method, which will determine if any images have the associated post_id and position number.

New Code

foreach(glob('./images/postimages/postimages/*'.$post_id.'*') as $filename){ if (false !== strpos($filename,$post_id. "_" .$x.".png")){ if (@fclose(@fopen($getImage, "r"))) { ?> <div id="mainPostImage"><img alt="" align="left" src="<?echo $getImage?>"></div><br><? } } }

With this working, I can now upload images with such names as:
  • Hello Me 32_2.png
  • This_Works_32_2.png
  • try123432_2.png
  • Daniel Redfern looks cool_31_19.png
Watch out Daniel Redfern 'the cricketer', your days dominating google images are limited!!!

The WeMos D1 is a ESP8266 WiFi based board is an extension to the current out-of-the-box library that comes with the Arduino installation. Because of this, you need to import in the libraries as well as acknowledging the specific board. This process is highly confusion with a number of different individuals talking about a number of different ways to integrate.

HOW TO provision AD group membership from OpenIDM

OpenIDMICFAD-connector

For what I see, there's not too many supportive documentations out there that will demonstrate how provision AD group membership with the ICF connector using OpenIDM. The use of the special ldapGroups attribute is not explained anywhere in the Integrators guides to to the date of this blog. This quick blog identifies the tasks required to provision AD group membership from OpenIDM to AD using the LDAP ICF connector. However this doesn't really explain what ldapGroups actually does and there's no real worked example of how to go from an Assignment to ldapGroups to an assigned group in AD. I wrote up a wiki article for my own reference: AD group memberships automatically to users This is just my view, others may disagree, but I think the implementation experience could be improved with some more documentation and a more detailed example here.
