Oracle Privileged Account Manager (OPAM) is one of the newer products within the Oracle Identity Management 11gR2 package
OPAM is predominately a password management tool that manages access to passwords for privileges shared accounts (example, ROOT or SUDO access for Unix or SYSDBA/DBA access within databases). Furthermore, OPAM supports the concept of 'check-in and check-out' of passwords. They can also change the password automatically on check-in.
His post is an overview of the OPAM installation. Thee is a video that demonstrates how to install the product.
Note: If you install OIM and OPAM in same domain you could face issue finding user in OINAV (Identity Navigator). To avoid this, make sure you install OPAM separately from the SOA domain
High Level Installation and configure OPAM 11gR2 (11.1.2)
- Create Schema for OPAM using RCU 11.1.2
- Install JDK 1.6.29 (or higher)
- Install WebLogic 10.3.6
- Install Identity & Access Management 11gR2 (11.1.2) software under middleware home (created during WebLogic installation) using runInstaller -jreLoc [jdk_location]
- Create WebLogic Domain by running $MW_HOME/oracle_common/common/bin/config.sh
ISSUE

java.lang.NullPointerException
at com.oracle.ovd.arisid.ArisIdStackProvider.doFind(ArisIdStackProvider.java:153)
SOLUTION
Start OPAM Managed Server and ensure that it is running
Configure OPAM console and update OPAM server details http://
Note: If you see invalid connection during OPAM server configuration, make sure the OPAM managed server is running

For what I see, there's not too many supportive documentations out there that will demonstrate how provision AD group membership with the ICF connector using OpenIDM. The use of the special ldapGroups attribute is not explained anywhere in the Integrators guides to to the date of this blog. This quick blog identifies the tasks required to provision AD group membership from OpenIDM to AD using the LDAP ICF connector. However this doesn't really explain what ldapGroups actually does and there's no real worked example of how to go from an Assignment to ldapGroups to an assigned group in AD. I wrote up a wiki article for my own reference: AD group memberships automatically to users This is just my view, others may disagree, but I think the implementation experience could be improved with some more documentation and a more detailed example here.
