How many CISSP in USA?
As the market tightens with a healthy competition for jobs whilst unemployment is 7.7% to date, I was wondering how many people within the USA have the CISSP certification.
I noticed a link on the ISC2 website that they update the member counts on a daily basis. To date, the number of 'registered' CISSP numbers CISSP number count. Do date, the number of people within the USA who are CISSP certified is 55,900.
In my experience, I have noticed many people (around 20%) have not renewed their certification though remain to have CISSP next to their names. Based on the principle of the certification, you need to maintain that accredited level by accumulating points. If you don't meet the minimum requirements, then I guess you've not maintained a constant attention within Information Security, so you're not really a CISSP anymore. Though who am I to judge and question an individual's attitude and professionalism within the IT industry.
Just FYI, It will be +1 as soon as finalize my CISSP application!!!

For what I see, there's not too many supportive documentations out there that will demonstrate how provision AD group membership with the ICF connector using OpenIDM. The use of the special ldapGroups attribute is not explained anywhere in the Integrators guides to to the date of this blog. This quick blog identifies the tasks required to provision AD group membership from OpenIDM to AD using the LDAP ICF connector. However this doesn't really explain what ldapGroups actually does and there's no real worked example of how to go from an Assignment to ldapGroups to an assigned group in AD. I wrote up a wiki article for my own reference: AD group memberships automatically to users This is just my view, others may disagree, but I think the implementation experience could be improved with some more documentation and a more detailed example here.
