ARCHIVE - Welcome to my blog and to be honest, it's about bloody time!
I've spent endless hours, days, weeks and even years constructing this thing part-time. I decided not to use a blogging tool purely because, to me (especially working in IT), it somehow feels like ashortcut or/and becoming a sellout. Whilst learning from 2007 I constructed websites purely based on
If anyone has a criticism on this website, they can go, themselves. Anyone that has constructive criticism I am all ears and I welcome you in open arms. Anyone who thinks this customised blog I've created is very good or anything above, again, you can go, yourself. Individuals' metric subsiding from the median are concluding their judgment without consideration of depth nor understanding.
Let me walk you though one of life stories. Whilst visiting the Metropolitan Museum of art in NY, I recall a specific yet super-sh*tty painting. Firstly, I know next to null regarding the technique of painting though this painting caught my deep understanding. There were two focal yet abstract objects in the painting- 1x bed and 1x wooden chair. I thought nothing of it, though I overheard a group speaker talking about this specific painting and how it had been recently credited even though it was within the renaissance era. Turned out this painting was constructed by applying a multitude of unnecessary layers.
Not what I woulda done. paint all red (wash the brush), all blue (wash the brush again) etc, it was painted as if the finalised layers did not exist. The bed for instance, it was painting without a mattress then only a mattress, then with sheets then with the face-valued cover.
My first question without consideration was 'Why not paint just the cover???' Though the consideration and thought behind the painting was more than face value. This blog is (almost) interchangeable to the renaissance painting I can referring to. Don't take this as face value (cause It's sh*t) and don't review the specifics under the microscope (cause it's shit still). If you're a nerd looking for IDM understanding then I'm (hopefully) you're man. If you're merely intrigued or a stalker x-gf then I welcome you in open arms (though at the time holding a court order!). Take this website into consideration. I've not constructed this based on the easy route by applying blogging applications, nor have I created a masterpiece. Just take what technical understanding you wish or joke and mock my life in some of the just for fun posts.
We will speak soon,
Daniel

For what I see, there's not too many supportive documentations out there that will demonstrate how provision AD group membership with the ICF connector using OpenIDM. The use of the special ldapGroups attribute is not explained anywhere in the Integrators guides to to the date of this blog. This quick blog identifies the tasks required to provision AD group membership from OpenIDM to AD using the LDAP ICF connector. However this doesn't really explain what ldapGroups actually does and there's no real worked example of how to go from an Assignment to ldapGroups to an assigned group in AD. I wrote up a wiki article for my own reference: AD group memberships automatically to users This is just my view, others may disagree, but I think the implementation experience could be improved with some more documentation and a more detailed example here.
