Automatic login into weblogic managed servers
Below is a simple yet secure way to startup managed servers within weblogic on a unix environment without having to enter in the credentials every time. In this scenario, I have managed server running oracle identity analytics called oia_server1 though it keeps requesting for the credentials every time it requires starting up.
Required Steps:
1. Go to the managed server directory
Likely to be located within the user_projects/domains/
cd /user_projects/domains/11115_basedomain/servers/oia_server1/security
2. Make a directory called security.
mkdir security
3. Navigate into the newly created directory
cd security
4. Create a new file called boot.properties and populate the file with the credentials
vi boot.properties
username=weblogic
password=Password1
5. Save and exit by pressing shift + colon then type the following:
!wq
You are also able to see that the credentials are encrypted using AES by reviewing the contents of the file.

6. Start up the managed server again and you will not be asked for the credentials

For what I see, there's not too many supportive documentations out there that will demonstrate how provision AD group membership with the ICF connector using OpenIDM. The use of the special ldapGroups attribute is not explained anywhere in the Integrators guides to to the date of this blog. This quick blog identifies the tasks required to provision AD group membership from OpenIDM to AD using the LDAP ICF connector. However this doesn't really explain what ldapGroups actually does and there's no real worked example of how to go from an Assignment to ldapGroups to an assigned group in AD. I wrote up a wiki article for my own reference: AD group memberships automatically to users This is just my view, others may disagree, but I think the implementation experience could be improved with some more documentation and a more detailed example here.
